Through its Together In Service effort, Presbyterian Women reach out to others in tangible ways. For example, members make and deliver cancer patient turbans (26 this year) and heart monitor bags (50) to Hattiesburg hospitals; assist the Domestic Abuse Family Shelter with donations of clothing and household items (9 deliveries) and purchase Christmas gifts for center residents; donate handbags (50) filled with personal care items and a prayer card to Christian Women’s Job Corps participants and Domestic Abuse Family Shelter; serve lunches during CWJC sessions; collect used eyeglasses (51) which are sent overseas by the Lion’s club. Ann Johnson, the Together in Service contact person, will happily accept your donations, which are collected throughout the year.
